Welcome

This website shares routes of walks I take with my dogs – initially my greyhound Rena and whippet Mia (who passed in Feb 2022 and Oct 2023 respectively), and now my whippets Jett and Mike.

How to use this site

There are three ways to browse out walks.

  1. From the navigation menu at the top of every page (also to the right of the page on desktop and listed at the very bottom of every page on a mobile device).
  2. They’re all listed in the order that I added them to the site here.
  3. Or visit the map page and click on the markers that I have added to a custom ‘Rena’s Top Spots’ Googlemap. If that location has a walk post published, there will be links in the marker description to the post on this site and to the Footpath app route.

Greyhound approved…!

Most of the walks on this site are between two and three miles long – perfect for your typical greyhound, who enjoys a good walk but tends to be lazy. There are no stiles as it drove me bonkers when 28kg Rena and I would get a couple of miles into a lovely walk only to discover a bloody stile on it.

If you enjoy this site and would like to show your appreciation, please make a donation to the Surrey Sighthound Walking Group. SSWG doesn’t take a penny from the money we raise – it is all split and shared equally between the charities we fundraise for:
